Attention, Family and Friends: Central Pet is entering a new chapter in 2026. As of January 1, 2026, we will operate under Colibri Pet Resort. Julie Grounds has shared a personal message about our future, our team, and our continued commitment to caring for your pets.
Dear Central Pet Family and Friends,
This letter is filled with deep gratitude, emotion, and blessings, because each of you has been a part of my life's greatest blessing, caring for your beloved pets.
From your dogs and cats to guinea pigs, rabbits, snakes, and birds, you have trusted us with the hearts of your family, and you treated my team and me as part of your own. Because of you, my dream came true. You allowed us into your lives, you believed in the work we did, and you supported a company built on love, compassion, and dedication. I will never forget your loyalty.
As many of you know, I have been deeply committed to Pima Animal Care Center for many years. After much reflection, I have made a difficult but meaningful decision to step into a new chapter, one that allows me to dive deeper into providing community support. We are offering them a portion of the building to be used for neglected and abused animals. By allowing them to use our building they will be able to reach many of the hoarding cases in Tucson and surrounding areas.
As of January 1, 2026, the remainder of the building will continue to operate at full capacity and provide you with outstanding care under Colibri Pet Resort. A company owned and operated by a long time Central Pet employee. I could not imagine a more deserving, capable, or compassionate team to carry on my passion.
You will still see the familiar faces when walking through our doors. They will continue our mission, our high standard, and our heart. I hope you will continue with the same loyalty, trust, and support that you have so generously given to Central Pet.
Thank you for the years of memories, friendship, and faith that you placed in my staff. It has been such a privilege caring for your pets. You have been part of my life in a way I will forever cherish.
